Customizable Computer-based Interaction Analysis for Coaching and Self-Regulation in Synchronous CSCL Systems
نویسنده
چکیده
Computer-based interaction analysis (IA) is an automatic process that aims at understanding a computermediated activity. In a CSCL system, computer-based IA can provide information directly to learners for selfassessment and regulation and to tutors for coaching support. This article proposes a customizable computerbased IA approach for a generic synchronous CSCL system, that is, a system that can be customized for different learning tasks and different ways of performing these tasks. In a generic system, IA mechanisms must also be generic. In the proposed system, called Omega+, a specific submodel specifies the properties and rules that customize the IA process for the learning situation defined by three other submodels (process, interaction, and artifact submodels) that all parameterize the generic kernel. The feasibility of such a generic model-based IA approach is assessed, together with the efficiency of some of its underlying mechanisms and its global acceptance by users.

The effect of wind generator on sub-synchronous resonance (SSR) is being interested by increasing penetration of wind turbine in power systems,. Purpose of this article is to analyze SSR in a wind farm based on doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) which is connected to compensating series grid. A dynamic model for analysis of induction generator effect and Torsional Interaction (TI) has been u...

Self-regulated learning is an important means of supporting students’ self-awareness and self-regulation level so as to enhance their motivation and engagement. Interaction Analysis (IA) contributes to this end, and its use in studying learning dynamics involved in asynchronous Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) activities has rightfully increased in recent years. This paper prese...
متن کاملCollaborative learning through computer-mediated argumentation
Abstract: This article reports on three studies that involved undergraduate students collaboratively working on authentic discussion tasks in synchronous and asynchronous Computer Mediated Communication systems (Netmeeting, Belvédère, Allaire Forums). The purposes of the assignments were respectively to develop insight and understanding in a theoretical framework, to co-construct meaningful did...
متن کاملThe role of roles in the analysis of interactions in collaborative environments
Analysis of interactions has become a basic function in the field of collaborative learning, as a means for supporting both students self-regulation as well as formative evaluation processes. However, we observe a lack of methods and tools for the analysis of interactions in CSCL that considerer the different roles implied in collaboration management processes, both from the point of view of t...
متن کاملApplication of an Additive Self-tuning Controller for Static Synchronous Series Compensator for Damping of Sub-synchronous Resonance Oscillations
In this paper, an additive self-tuning (ST) control scheme is presented for a static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) to improve performance of conventional PI control system for damping sub-synchronous resonance (SSR) oscillations. The active and reactve series compensation are provided by a three-level 24-pulse SSSC and fixed capacitor. The proposed ST controller consists of a pole shift...
